I had a major renovation of my house that required my moving into rented accommodation for a period. The work was extensive but also time limited because of the time limits due to a short-term rent agreement. I can say that the communication with the team, quality of workmanship and the delivery of the project on time was outstanding. Taking a derelict 90m2, Edwardian 3 bed semi with subsidence and turning it into a 230m2 forever family home: this was a big job and a once in a lifetime project for my wife and I…and…in all honesty, the build could not have gone better. We always had great communication from the very start. The job was fairly and accurately priced, had no surprises and was completed on time with a quality of finish that was second to none…perfect example of master craftsmen doing what they do best. Did I say forever home? The whole experience has made me want to take on an even larger project next time and am looking forward to working with Tony, Andy and the team again. I just have to convince my wife!

The boys laid a large patio area for us and I have to say what a fantastic job. Prompt and polite and only happy to help with a few project alterations as the job evolved. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. First class.

We chose Garland & Bird as they were recommended to us. They carried out a large extension including knocking through and converting the garage and fitting a new kitchen. We were so happy with the resulting large open plan space. Throughout the process they were professional, friendly and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. They also did a great job - so good that we asked them to do a loft conversion to create an extra bedroom and en-suite for us which we are also delighted with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Garland & Bird renovated our entire home including a kitchen extension, and loft conversion. The work was carried out with minimal disruption, and communication with the team was excellent throughout. We made a few changes as the build progressed, and Gus and Andy were always helpful and able to offer advice from the experience they’ve gained working on many similar projects. Several years later we’re still very happy with the results and have used them again to lay a patio and build a front wall.

We engaged Garland & Bird for a substantial rear extension over 40m2 and a loft conversion. Combined with this we completely refurbished the house replacing windows, electrical rewire,CAT 6 cabling, converting garage and decoration throughout. The quality of workmanship was excellent but what really made the difference was the friendly team and can-do attitude which made living in situ through the build possible. Would have no hesitation in recommending G&B to anyone.

Gus and Andy did a great job on our kitchen extension. Always accommodating and took tricky aspects in their stride like moving gas & electric meters and mistakes by the architect.

We were really pleased with our loft extension . In fact we were so pleased we followed it with a kitchen extension. The various trades that were involved in the job were really hard working and polite and always left things tidy at the end of the day. Tony was always available and came up with solutions to any of our questions. We were so pleased with the end results of both jobs and would not hesitate to recommend Garland and Bird.

Garland and Bird take all of the hassle out of building works. I had seen lots of their work in the local area before we hired them, so I knew that the work would be high quality...what I did not appreciate was how good their project management skills were and how quickly and simply they would solve issues that came up. It took all the stress out of the build knowing that with just one phone call, they would get things sorted. All the people who worked in our house were friendly, efficient and tidy. *Highly recommended*. You can probably find a building firm who can do the work sooner ...but my advice would be not to. Wait for the best!
