I had a major renovation of my house the required my moving into rented accommodation for a period. The work was extensive but also time limited because of the time limits due to a short term rent agreement. I can say that the communication with the team, quality of workmanship and the delivery of the project on time was outstanding. They do not take short cuts, you know where you are at every step of the way and are so helpful with any change of ideas or problems that crop up along the way.

We chose Garland & Bird as they were recommended to us. They carried out a large extension including knocking through and converting the garage and fitting a new kitchen. We used Garland & Bird to lay a new driveway a few years ago and we were so im pressed with the work, we used them again recently to fit a new bathroom and ensuite. As expected, they turned up on time every single day, informed us of the plan and if any changes were needed, consulted with us beforehand. We were working from home due to Covid and surprisingly the disruption was minimal; they were professional and courteous and the quality of work is exceptionally high. Garland and Bird take all of the hassle out of building works. I had seen lots of their work in the local area before we hired them, so I knew that the work would be high quality...what I did not appreciate was how good their project management skills were and how quickly and simply they would solve issues that came up. It took all the stress out of the build knowing that with just one phone call, they would get things sorted. All the people who worked in our house were friendly, efficient and tidy. *Highly recommended*. You can probably find a building firm who can do the work sooner ...but my advice would be not to. Wait for the best!

Taking a derelict 90m2, Edwardian 3 bed semi with subsidence and turning it into a 230m2 forever family home: this was a big job and a once in a lifetime project for my wife and I…and…in all honesty, the build could not have gone better. We always had great communication from the very start. The job was fairly and accurately priced, had no surprises and was completed on time with a quality of finish that was second to none…perfect example of master craftsmen doing what they do best. Did I say forever home? The whole experience has made me want to take on an even larger project next time and am looking forward to working with Tony, Andy and the team again. I just have to convince my wife!

The work was carried out with minimal disruption, and communication with the team was excellent throughout. We made a few changes as the build progressed, and Gus and Andy were always helpful and able to offer advise from the experience they’ve gained working on many similar projects. Several years later we’re still very happy with the results and have used them again to lay a patio and build a front wall.

Combined with this we completely refurbished the house replacing windows, electrical re-wire, CAT 6 cabling, converting garage and decoration throughout.
